Osteopathic treatment is aimed at relieving a wide range of symptoms such as back pain, joint pain, stiffness, headaches and sciatica.
All treatment plans are based on Medical Case Histories, Examinations, and Diagnosis of presenting symptoms.
Medical Case History
Your first osteopathic treatment will begin with Valerie asking many relevant medical questions which will help her understand why you are in pain and why your body is not healing.
Examination and Diagnosis
Following the case history taking, the examination part of the treatment process begins. Valerie will observe your posture, gait and physical movements, making note of any discrepancies that come to light. Muscular contractions and any weak/strained parts of the body that can be seen and felt, will also be recorded so that an overall diagnosis of your condition can be reached. You will then be invited to lie on the treatment couch and when you are relaxed and comfortable we will proceed with the “hands-on” part of the treatment.
Clothing
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing ie tracksuit bottoms. Outer clothing such as t-shirts may need to be removed to facilitate treatment.
Osteopathic Treatment
First session: 1 hour duration €60.
Osteopathic treatments involve gentle and effective techniques, such as Soft tissue Release, Articulation & Mobilisation of the spine and body joints and Cranial Osteopathy.
Advice is also given on diet, exercise and stress management.
Follow-up Treatments: 1 hour duration €60.
